Collection: Native American Fetishes

The Native American People of the Southwest have made and used fetishes for centuries and the Zuni people have been the suppliers of these personal amulets to other southwestern tribes for generations. A fetish is thought to bring good luck, and if treated properly and with veneration, will help or give power to its possessor. Made from primarily stone but also shell, fossils, and other materials, these small carvings serve ceremonial purposes for their creators and depict animals and icons integral to their culture.
